              A Lucky Charm for our Inaugural Fundraiser:

     This painting titled "Charm II" was created in 1997 by Mary Heilman and was donated by the artist in that same year to raise funds for health care for the pioneer East Village gallerist Pat Hearn.  An anonymous donor of this work has promised to contribute proceeds from the sale to JUST ART for Fall 2023 arts education programs for NYC Public HS Students.  She is taking a page from the philanthropist Agnes Gund whose sale of a  Lichtenstein provided seed funding for a new philanthropy- the Art for Justice fund which supports criminal justice in the US.
